Sedona, Arizona is one of the most beautiful places on earth, a true paradise. This small landscape painting was painted as the sun was setting on Courthouse Butte. The plein air painting experience was a dream. The setting in Sedona is Shangri La to many.
The yellow wildflowers were prolific along the path and seemed to be everywhere enchanting me while I painted. Bell Rock was in shadow but ever present and is part of this painting along with Courthouse Butte, which was halfway lit by the setting sun.
