I am Mary Rush, an artist whose primary medium is acrylic paint. I also use oil paints and mixed-media techniques. My chief aim is the liberty to say what is necessary at any moment. It is akin to the Surrealists’ approach to automatism, where intuitive guidance reigns supreme. Following that, I review the painting through the lens of fine art methods to guarantee a unified final artwork.
I tend to use bold colors, and I combine them in my own distinctive style. Abstract and non-objective expression form the essence of my work, including landscapes. People tell me they see movement in my pieces.
