Inspiration

The innovative work of Helen Frankenthaler who developed the soak-stain technique of painting inspired these paintings. After practicing this technique for six months, I embarked upon a painting series loosely based on flowers. 

Painting Process

Each painting in the series is vertical, painted on the floor on flat canvas, and the same size for a cohesive look. I began each one considering a color and the criteria just mentioned.
