This painting began with three others. I was between canvas rolls so I just played with color, paper, and collage. This and the two companion pieces demanded white (negative) space.

The color combination and composition was looking boring so I took a chance and added playful bold magenta brush marks. And like the Miro quote above, it did lead to freedom and happiness.
