Abstract Landscape Painting Workshop

NO PRIOR ART EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED.

Beginner to advanced levels welcome.

Please join us for some fun as you learn to create loose, free-spirited abstract landscape paintings that express your authentic voice.

Who is This For?

• Ages 16+
• For beginners, even if you've never painted before.
• For intermediate to advanced level painters who want to loosen up their landscape painting style.
  
• Anyone who wants to paint landscapes but doesn't know where to start.

Week One

During week one, we will paint the backgrounds for your landscape paintings using acrylic paint.

What You Will Need for Week One

• Apron or clothes you don't mind getting paint on.
• Water to drink.
• 3-4 canvases - 11" x 14" or 12" x 16"
• Acrylic paints
• Paint brushes
• Palette knife
• Hair dryer
• Open heart and mind
• Big smile.
  
• We will supply paper towels and water containers.

Week Two

During week two, we'll paint plein air outdoors. We'll bring the paintings we worked on during Week One to an outdoor location. A local Camp Verde, AZ location will be determined.

This is where the magic happens. You will transform your abstract painting into an abstract landscape by loosely painting what you see in front of you. I'll guide you through the process.

What You Will Need for Week Two

• The painted canvases from Week One.
• Oil paints, no solvents.
• Paint brushes.
• Palette knife.
• Blue painter's tape
• Easel. I have a limited number of easels; if you need one, let me know in advance.
• Paper towels
• Mixing palette
  
• Water to drink.
• Wear closed shoes, no flip-flops.
• Hat
• Apron or clothes you don't mind getting paint on.
• Open heart and mind
• Big smile.
• Chair if needed.
